和紙の表面を墨と顔料が水の流れに沿って動いていく現象を観察するように描いていきます。その流動的で有機的な形に触発されて、また新たな形を重ねていきます。一つひとつの行為は断片的な事柄ですが、行為が次の行為を予期しているという状態をできるだけありのままの形で画面に残したいと考えています。

“Looking at this piece is like observing a phenomenon in which the ink and the pigment moves across the surface of the washi paper in sync with the flow of the water. This fluidity was inspired by organic shapes, and overlays new forms. Each and every action is fragmentary, but I aimed to leave an indication of how each action anticipates the next in as natural a way as possible.”
