Fujimoto graduated in 1993 from the Department of Design, Faculty of Engineering, Chi-ba University and completed an Oil Painting Course at Musashino Art University in 1997. Fujimoto employs a unique technique, using sandpaper to shave layered acrylic paint, revealing varied depths of color.
