ふと目に留まった木々のざわめき、枝の重なり。光。制作は、これらを観察とスケッチで確認しながら進めています。スケッチから和紙の画面に樹木を描き移し、枝の広がりを座標軸にして、実感した生命力やざわめきや光を、墨と胡粉の点やストロークに変換して描いています。自分を超えた画面空間が立ち上がることを願っています。

“Noticing the rustling of the trees, the overlapping branches, the light. Production is confirmed from observations and sketches as I proceed. From the sketch, the tree is drawn onto washi paper. The spreading branches become coordinate axes, as the life force, the rustling, the light that I experienced is transformed into dots and strokes of ink and chalk. My desire is to create a painted space that expands beyond myself.”
